One of my absolute favourite things to do in this life is to drink with strangers until the wee hours of the morning. The fact that people who have just met can have so much fun together gives me faith in humanity.

I have fond memories of one such night in Prague, where my friend and I ended up in this little dive bar called Sad Man’s Tongue, drinking with an Irishman and a northerner and I think a Brazilian guy long after the bar’s stated closing time of 4am and until the sun rose. I wholeheartedly recommend the joint.

Another place that I have fond albeit hazy memories of is an absinthe wine bar. You read that right - cocktails featuring absinthe and wine - so understandably my memories are hazy. But the place was lovely - upscale yet intimate, with people flowing out the door and into the courtyard long into the night.

One of the other great things to do in Prague, after bar-hopping, is to go shoot some guns. It’s much cheaper compared to US or other countries. Just don’t try to bring any shells home as souvenirs.
