Hello.
I was always someone who studied better in the library than at home. I push myself harder during a pilates class irl rather than watching a home workout that I can always pause. There is something about the air of vulnerability and societal pressure of doing things in public that make me want to take things more seriously and do a better job. Perhaps it is a very British aversion to making a cock of oneself in public.
I learned about the zettelkasten method a few years ago, and had been trying to built out my ‘second brain’ in private, but lacked motivation. For a few years, I have owned gisselle.co.uk as a sort of silly joke, but always vowed to do something useful with the site eventually. Then I learned about Quartz, which is the engine that makes all this possible, and I decided to go for it.
This website is my second brain, my working notes, a place for thoughts, musings, reviews.
